This is an irrigation educational meeting put on by the Oceana and Mason-Lake Conservations Districts in partnership with MSUE. There will be a MAEAP introduction which will include the need for backflow prevention on the farmstead and farm and the importance of following the Irrigation GAAMPS on cropland. Guest presenters will be presenting on the following topics: Irrigation GAAMPS, Chemigation/Fertigation Safety including backflow prevention, Water Use Reporting and Water Withdrawal Registration, Irrigation Scheduling and use of Moisture Monitoring Sensors, USDA Program Assistance and Programs which pertain to irrigation practices, On-line Mapping Tools for soils, well information, sensitive areas and other useful information for producers.
