The Michigan State University Extension field crops team will host the 2019 Integrated Crop and Pest Management Update on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MSU Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education, 4301 Farm Lane, Lansing, MI 48910. The agenda will include a review of the 2019 growing season, on-farm research, soil fertility, insect and weed resistance management and the 2020 Weed Control Guide for Field Crops Bulletin E-434.
This program is intended for agribusinesses, farmers, retail sales, crop consultants and service professionals, Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP) officials and private crop consultants. This event will provide agribusiness industries with MSU pesticide recommendations in a timely fashion so they can make their bulk purchasing and sales decisions before the year’s end.
Participants will be eligible to receive seven MDARD restricted use pesticide credits (Com. Core, Priv. Core, 1A), six CCA credits (1.0 NM, 0.5 SW, 2.0 PM, 2.0 CM, 0.5 PD) and MAEAP phase 1 credit for this meeting.
Online registration is available now through Dec. 16. Cost is $60 per person and includes lunch, the MSU Extension 2020 Weed Control Guide for Field Crops, and other educational handouts. Please contact Eric Anderson at 269-467-5511 or eander32@msu.edu if you have questions.
